The publication Hanna Burow represents the first overview of the work of the New York-based artist Johanna Tiedtke, who uses a whole variety of media, ranging from painting and photography across numerous graphic arrangements all the way to large three-dimensional installations. The title of the catalogue relates to a very personal background story. The name ‘Hanna Burow’ has accompanied Johanna Tiedtke since her childhood. Burow was the maiden name of her great-grandmother. On the basis of the latter’s story, Johanna Tiedtke investigates the handing down, from one generation to the next, of traumas, of the unspoken, and she examines the question of how the artist’s own generation deals with these matters.Ed. by Oliver Zybok With contributions by Jutta Koether, Ann Lauterbach, Oliver Zybok

Fur and fiction combine in this retelling of Charles Dickens's most famous novel, adorably adapted with an all-star cast of guinea pigs.In the misery of a workhouse, a poor, fluffy little orphan called Oliver Twist is fed on nothing but thin air and even thinner gruel. By squeaking a fateful question - 'Please, sir, I want some more' - he unwittingly sparks a series of events that lead him to the smoke and grime of the big city, where he encounters a host of four-legged friends and foes such as the crafty Fagin, mischievous Artful Dodger, faithful Nancy and treacherous Bill Sikes, who sweep young Oliver off of his paws and into the underworld of Victorian London.

Following an otherwise-enjoyable literary luncheon, the celebrated crime novelist Ariadne Oliver is accosted by a particularly formidable woman who engages her in conversation about one of her many god-daughters, whom Ariadne hasn't seen since she was a child. She lands a bombshell with the question 'What I want to know is this: did her mother kill her father, or was it the father who killed the mother?'Affronted and bewildered by the assertiveness of this pushy busybody, Ariadne is nevertheless intrigued. There's only one thing for it. She must contact her old friend Hercule Poirot.Together they set about unravelling the mystery of a tragedy from the distant past - provoked in equal measure by hate and love.As always, John Moffatt stars as Hercule Poirot, while Julia McKenzie stars as Ariadne Oliver - whom Agatha Christie based on herself.

(...) One of the best Jazz albums in 2010. Craig Charles, June 2010, The Craig Charles Funk And Soul Show. (BBC)nnI first heard this outfit when they had just started posting music on their myspace page, since then I have been a massive fan! But then again, the main man behind The Bahamas, Oliver Belz, has a very fine pedigree having been one of the prime movers behind the wonderful JuJu Orchestra. His debut album as The Bahama Soul Club, Rhythm Is What Makes Jazz Jazz was hardly ever off the show, and was one of my favourite albums of the year in 2008. But the big question is after making such a mark on his debut, can he deliver on that diffcult second album. All the signs are there as he has retained some of the vocalists from the previous album such as Berlin resident Pat Appleton and Bella Wagner from just over the border in Austria, and to augment that very solid base he has also drafted in the combined talents of two of the finest vocalists in the UK, Xantoné Blacq, and one of my personal favourites John Turrell who was recently voted on my show as lead male vocalist for the UK Fantasy Funk Band. From the start, this album slips into gear with the superb jazz cut that is King s Wig to the last knockout punch of the dancefoor monster Nassau Jam I can tell that Oliver has lost none of that Midas touch. There is something quite unique and mesmerising about the sound of The Bahama Soul Club, it is a gumbo in the best sense of the word, throwing in Bossa, Soul, Afro-Latin, and Jazz all into the pot and coming up with a sound that is both immediate, timeless, and above all has the sun shining through every single tune. The question I asked earlier was, does he deliver on the difficult second album and the answer has to be a resounding YES! Make a friend of this album as, believe me, it will be friend for life, it is that good and probably one of the best Jazz albums in 2010. Craig Charles, June 2010, The Craig Charles Funk And Soul Show, BBC 6Music. ((CD-Klappentext Bossa Nova Just Smells Funky)) TRACKS: 1. King's Wig 2. Afro Shigida 3. Bossa Bop 4. Serious Soul 5. Whatever its socio-political status, the ethical gesture of theatrical activity embraces the question of responsibility. More often than not, this question is contingent on the innate radicality and opacity of the concept of evil. These are the themes the study discusses through the early works of Peter Handke, William Shakespeare's Macbeth, Jean Racine's Phaedra and Sarah Kane's 4.48 Psychosis. Lastly, one of the theatre/cabaret performances produced in the Buchenwald concentration camp causes us to reflect on the fact that the relations between human expression, language, politics and ethics appear to give rise to a disquieting ethical incommensurability. The ethical views of the study rest mainly on the thought of three influential continental philosophers, Immanuel Kant, Emmanuel Levinas and Alain Badiou. Theoretical views on the theatre and the arts in general are constructed and outlined with such thinkers as Herbert Blau, Roland Barthes, Denis Guénoun, Hans-Thies Lehmann, Martin Heidegger, Esa Kirkkopelto, Zeami Motokiyo, Slavoj i ek, Janelle Reinelt, Oliver Feltham, Jacques Rancière and Alenka Zupan i .
